У меня на рабочем десктопе время в день спокойно уходит на минуту от эталона, иногда это создает неудобства. Собственно период синхронизации 1 неделя (по умолчанию) меня перестал устраивать, уменьшил до 4х часов.

Начались проблемы у игроков World of Warcraft ©, на компьютерах которых установлен Agnitum Outpost Firewall, подробнее в сети. Что делать – отключить этот кусок файрвола или полностью его деинсталировать, я все таки выбрал первый вариант.
* Login as an Administrator user, ensure Outpost’s Self Defence is disabled, disconnect from the Internet and shutdown Outpost;
* Right-click on My Computer, select Properties/Hardware/Device Manager;
* In Device Manager, select View/Show hidden devices – this should reveal a new category “Non-Plug and Play Drivers” in the right-hand window pane;
* Open this category and scroll down to “Outpost Firewall Sandbox Driver”;
* Right-click on this and select Disable;
* Restart Outpost (open a command prompt window, type net start “outpost firewall service” and when this finishes – regardless of whether it reports an error or not – click on the Outpost icon in your Start Menu to run the GUI).i have also the wl_hook.dll renamed … i don’t know if both things should be made or if it’s enough to turn off the driver.

Домашняя сеть

На свой ДР взял и оформил таки в кредит домой второй комп, ибо драки за компьютер уже порядком поднадоели, в итоге имеем мини-сеть с пока аппаратным роутером DrayTek Vigor2200E-plus (взят на попробовать), а в процессе сетапа роутер на Pentium-100 под FreeBSD с device polling, должно хватить на прием 2х каналов от разных провайдеров с маршрутизацией и маскарадом. Фотки всего этого добра может соберусь и сделаю, для истории.

From Solaris 9 update 2, a new framework was introduced that would make it possible to select among a number of hash algorithms the famous one that would be used to compute the encrypted version of the passwords. Before that time, the traditional crypt() routine was used, limiting the size of passwords to 8 characters and providing the even more famous 13 characters found in the /etc/shadow file.The Solaris Pluggable Crypt Framework makes it possible to choose from 3 new algorithms, all allowing a maximal password size of 255 characters:
